About

Carl Sagan was an American astronomer, astrophysicist, and science communicator who played a central role in popularizing science in the twentieth century. He worked on NASA missions including Mariner, Viking, Voyager, and Galileo, and contributed significantly to the study of planetary atmospheres and the search for extraterrestrial life.

He is best known to general readers for Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, the accompanying book and television series that explored the universe, the history of science, and humanity's place within it. Cosmos became one of the most widely watched science television series ever produced and has been translated into many languages, including Indonesian.

Sagan was also a prolific author of books on science and skepticism, including The Demon-Haunted World and Pale Blue Dot, and co-founded The Planetary Society. The Indonesian edition of Kosmos listed on MekarBooks is a third-party title linked via Gramedia affiliate listings.
