Satoshi Yagisawa is a Japanese novelist whose work is best known to international readers through "Days at the Morisaki Bookshop" (Morisaki Shoten no Hibi), a gentle story of a young woman who finds healing while living and working at her uncle's secondhand bookshop in Tokyo's Jimbocho district. The novel won the Chiyoda Literature Prize in Japan and has been translated into multiple languages, introducing his understated, warm style of storytelling to readers around the world.
